Performance Tracker

Real, daily-logged cumulative return against SPY, QQQ, and IWM — built from a log that started on the date below, not backfilled or smoothed to look longer-running than it is.

July 10, 2026First daily observation—because a short honest chart beats a long invented one.

Cumulative return vs. benchmarks

The plotted chart shows the site’s existing illustrative current-holdings blend against SPY: today’s holdings, held at current weights across the same fixed historical window and built from real price data. It is useful for seeing the exposure embedded in the present portfolio, but it is not my account return because it does not reproduce purchase dates, deposits, or trades. The verified daily account tracker begins separately from its first recorded close.

Verified account record 3 verified closes logged

Tracking began July 10 and resumes with September 9–10. The chart connects recorded observations only; it does not imply a known daily path across the unlogged interval.

Why this doesn't go back to 2022

The account started in 2022 with $500, and the July letter discloses an independently verified all-time dollar-weighted return of +72.14%. But there is no complete daily account series from 2022—or even for every day since this log began. This tracker therefore plots only the closes actually captured: July 10 and September 9–10. The gap is a gap, not data waiting to be smoothed into existence.

Methodology

Portfolio value uses the published share counts and the same closing-price file as Holdings. SPY, QQQ, and IWM use the matching market closes. Each series is indexed to 100 at the start of the selected range. The log is appended only when a close is actually captured; missing sessions stay missing, and any correction is recorded in What I Got Wrong.

This is a real but young dataset — short tracking windows are noisier and less meaningful than long ones. Treat early readings here as a starting point, not a verdict.
