AMD was up 11.04% on Friday, and VRT gained 3.47%. If I only look at those two numbers, it is easy to remember the rebound and forget where it started. From Wednesday’s close, AMD was still down 8.13% and VRT was down 11.04%. The table uses actual closing prices rather than adding daily percentages. Those are moves in published holdings, not changes in my brokerage balance.
For AMD, my next benchmark is still the company’s roughly $17 billion fourth-quarter sales guide, plus or minus 3%. For VST, Friday brought a different piece of evidence: the company’s 2027 guidance. One is a processor revenue forecast, the other an operating forecast for a power business. The stocks do not need to move in opposite directions for those to deserve separate entries in the research file.
